Here you’ll find various tools you can use to make your job easier. Feel free to upload any tool’s that you may find useful.
PairDrop - PairDrop originally was developed to transfer files between computers on the same network (WiFi). However it has been upgraded to transfer between computers outside of your network. It's web based and also has an app which I recommend. https://PairDrop.net/
Blip - Similar to PairDrop but easier. Once installed you right click the file(s) or folder(s) click Blip and a box opens to send the files. Either to computers on your network that have Blip installed or friends with Blip via email. It sends the file right to the download folder. https://blip.net/
Cleanfeed - A web based remote audio tool. For instance, connecting a DJ who is in a remote location, like a festival or venue back to the studio DJ. Popular with Podcasters. What is nice is that it does not require additional software to work and it has better sound than Skype. https://cleanfeed.net/
Anchor - Similar to Cleanfeed. It was created for Podcasts but you can connect to do interviews or calls. https://podcasters.spotify.com/
BUTT – From Radio.co will connect with your Radio.co login. https://help.radio.co/en/articles/899769-broadcast-using-this-tool-butt
BUTTM - Broadcast Using This Tool Modernized A modern alternative inspired by the world famous Icecast and Shoutcast source client BUTT.
For Windows and macOS! https://buttm.app/
FeenPhone – FeenPhone is a program that does the same as CleanFeed. A little bit more difficult to set up and is needed on both ends. FeenPhone is no longer supported. https://feenphone.com/ (abandonware but should still work)
MP3Tag – This is a great tool to fix the metadata on your song files. https://www.mp3tag.de/en/
MP3Gain - Adjust the gain to a specified DB or LUFS. (I set mine to 97%) https://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/download.php
MixMeister - This will calculate the Beat-Per-Minute and apply it to the Metadata. https://www.mixmeister.com/bpm-analyzer.html
PlayItRecorder – From the company that makes my broadcast software. Does the same as FreeSoundRecord except it doesn’t have the extra bloatware. https://www.playitsoftware.com/Products/Recorder
Playlist Creator – Use Playlist Creator to…well… create a playlist. It will create an M3U or PLS (for WinAmp) format. https://www.musicgateway.com/create-music-playlists
Musify - This will download songs from Youtube, Spotify and others. You can download the album with the link to the playlist on Youtube. For Spotify grab the shareable link. https://itubego.com/music-mp3-downloader-66/
